10 Days Morocco Tour from Tangier – Imperial cities – Desert

Day 1: Arrive at Tangier

Upon your arrival at tangier ( airport or port / hotel) , our professional staff will pick you up and, transfer you to the hotel you will be staying at for today.

At evening you will meet with our professional staff that will be your accompanement for this trip  and, so they can supply you with all the necessary information about the trip.

Day 2: Tangier – Chefchaouen. After breakfast we head to Chefchaouen.

Early in the morning, we will leave the charming city of Tangier ; starting  our trip , towards the city of  Chefchaouen; on the way we will stop by  Tetouan a jewel of a town, an atmospheric city with a pretty medina ; snugly located amid the beginning of Morocco’s beautiful Rif Mountains. Lunch is programed to be served in a restaurant at Tetouan.

before continuing our tour passing by the small fishing port of Capo Negro. Afterwards we will resume our trip towards the unspoiled Rif town of Chefchaouen.

Overnight at a Riad

Day 3:Chefchaouen – Fes

Today’s program is dedicated to discover this perl of the north, starting with its colorful streets and,its old medina beautuifuly painted with blue and white, giving you refreshing sights and, a heaven for photographers; you will stroll around the old market and the charming Plaza of Utta El Hmmam with its unique ambiance; Lunch will beat a restaurant, in front ofthis beauty.

Later on we will drive to , the scientific , cultural capital of Morocco, the city of Fes crossing Rif mountains.

Dinner and overnight at a hotel in the ancient medina of Fes.

Day 4: Fes – Meknes – Ifrane – Azrou- Merzouga

Early in the morning,we will prepare for our unique destination that you will spend the night at, the charming”Merzouga”; after breakfast we will hit the road through the middle Atlas mountain visiting Fes’s little sister the city of Meknes with its splendid  plaza of Lehdim and the majestic gate of Bab Mansour; , passing by “Ifrane”, we will carve our way through Atlas mountains which contains the largest forests of cedar trees, that is inhabited by monkeys. After a quiet stay. we will resume towards the tizi ntalghamt pass to Midelt passing by the spectacular Ziz gorges., we will head out to the magnificent Merzouga via  Erfoud, passing by the spectacular ziz gorges and Errachidia Where you are going to eat a traditional lunch among Berber people and there hospitality

Next we will continue towards merzouga along Ziz Valley, and stopping for what we like to call it ” a worth stop” for the panoramic views along the way.

Eventually, arriving to merzouga where you will be welcomed by,  a warming mint tea to restore, then will switch to camels, that  will take you through the magnificent world of the sandy dunes of erg Echebbi . In a memorable experience on the top of the camels you will admire the spectacular sunset in the Middle of the Sahara.

Eventually, the camels will take you to our traditional well equipped camp, where you will enjoy a traditional dinner, while listening to a berberine music show, in a friendly mood under the stars.

Day 5 : Merzouga area and the Camel trek

Having breakfast is followed by talkingoff to visit the village of Khamlia, where black people live who came from Mali, Senegal, and Sudan, to enjoy Gnawa music observe the lifestyle in this small village. The day continues to Miffis Mines where you will have the chance to explore how people live there.

After that, we enjoy the beautiful views of the sand dunes. Before we return to your accommodation, you’ll have a tasty mint tea. Taking a camel trek, the destination is the desert of Erg Chebbi where you’ll spend the overnight in a nomad tent.

 

Day 6: Todgha Gorges-Dades Valley.

In the early morning, you will be awake to watch the amazing sunrise over the magical sand dunes of Erg Chebbi ( the highest dunes in Morocco). After having breakfast, we will proceed with our journey to visit Tinghir’s oasis and Todgha Gorges (the highest gorges in Morocco). These beautiful gorges are one of the favourite places for those who love hiking. While we are there, we will take a stroll alongside the Todgha’s river and, maybe, meet some berber delicacies. Lunch will be served at the core of the gorges before we head to Dades Valley where our day comes to an end. The overnight will be spent at a hotel.

Day 7: Dades Valley -Ait Ben Haddou- Marrakech

Today, we will be driving through Dades Valley toward Kalaat Mgouna after having breakfast. The journey takes its way through the famous route of the Road of Thousand Kasbahs. Kalaat Mgouna is also nicknamed the town of roses for the rosewater, perfumes and other things are made in this area. Yet, Ouarzazate is the next destination. This small town is called the Hollywood of Africa. Having lunch is followed by visiting the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. It is one of the UESCO’s world heritage sites. It is the most famous Kasbah in Morocco. May movies took place in this amazing Kasbah such as Gladiator and The Mumy. While we are making our way to Marrakech, we will travel through the pass of Tizi N’Ticka. It is 2260 high over the Grans Atlas Mountains (the highest pass in the whole Africa). Today’s journey ends in Marrakech.

Day 8: Marrakech guided tour

On this day, you’ll enjoy a guided tour to explore interesting sites and places in Marrakech such the famous square of Jamaa El Fnaa, beautiful Majorelly Gardens, Saadian Tombs. You’ll also take a walk in the Medina’s narrow streets. Here, you will go through the famous Souks. The overnight is at hotel/riad.

Day 9: Marrakech – Essaouira

Essaouira is where we will be heading after having bearkfast at the accommodation. This city was named Mogador by the portugues. Lunch will be had in Essaouira in a Moroccan way having freshly fish. You’ll admire a tour through the city observing the handicrafts, silver jewelry, inlaid wood of Thuja, and the Medina’s old alleys, in the afternoon. The overnight will be at a hotel/riad.

Day 10: Essaouira – Marrakech airport.

Depending on your time departure, we drive you to Marrakech airport to catch your flight.
